Paula Banks Consulting's new Family Care Advocacy Program serves Mainers with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, or mental illness and their families. We provide life-improving solutions and guidance on health, social, legal and personal challenges through the use of a compassionate and person-centered approach.
WHAT IS FAMILY CARE ADVOCACY?
A Family Care Advocate assists adult children with disabilities & their families in attaining their maximum quality of life and continuity of care.
We coordinate care, support services, and provide resources.
Family Care Advocacy takes a person-centered approach to determining the services that best meet our clients' needs and goals, all with the support of the family and service team
By providing outstanding care and services, we enable our client's families to navigate the complex world of adult care, make educated choices, and work towards maximizing their quality of life and their loved one's peace of mind. We’ll immediately point you in the right direction, ease worries and lay out a clear plan of care for the short and long term. Conducting assessment to understand client's clinical background, living arrangements, program involvement and life goals.

Paula Banks is a licensed social worker and nationally certified care manager with over 30 years of clinical experience.
Laura Carey, Associate Care Manager, has ten years of experience in special education and family psychology with vulnerable populations.
Sherry Boothby, Care Manager, is an occupational therapist and certified low-vision specialist with 27 years of clinical experience.
