Paula Banks, LSW, CMC is the owner of Paula Banks Consulting, LLC. Paula, a certified Geriatric Care Manager and Aging Life Care Specialist has over 30 years of clinical experience working with seniors, their families, and caregivers. Paula has worked in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home care agencies. She is also the owner of Compass Concierge and Companions, a private, non-medical home care agency.
Paula is on the Development Committee at Maine Behavioral Health and was named a Fellow of the Maine Gerontological Society of Maine in 2011. She is also the past Chair of The Board of Trustees at 75 State Street, an independent and assisted living community in Portland, Maine.
Paula is a major proponent of inter-generational learning and in the past has been a champion and funder of programs such as Cape Elizabeth's "Senior to Senior' program. She is also the author 'The Eldercare Revolution' published in 2012 by Legacy Publishing.
Paula's areas of expertise include elder care, post-acute care planning, probate court/expert witness in guardianship cases, and mental health advocacy.
Sherry Boothby, OTR/L, CLVT, MS, holds a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from University of New England and M.S. in Health Policy and Management from the Muskie School of Public Service at University of Southern Maine.
She has extensive clinical experience working with adults in a variety of settings- Acute Rehab, Acute Care/hospital, Skilled Nursing and Rehab, Home Care, and Outpatient Rehab. Additionally, Sherry has been a Certified Low Vision Therapist (CLVT) since 2006. She has established low vision OT programs in a variety of settings, including starting a low vision OT private practice and other outpatient low vision programs.
Sherry also has personal experience caring for aging family members, and is passionate about being an advocate for older adults and their caregivers. With her vast knowledge and experience along with her great compassion, Sherry will add to the already invaluable care management services that Paula Banks Consulting, LLC provides.
